P24 Impact of Mentoring Recruitment and Retention of Underrepresented Doctoral Students in STEM
Description

This poster is an extension of the colloquium “Recruitment and Retention of Underrepresented Doctoral Students in STEM.” In this study, 75 people of color at various stages of graduate school in the mathematical sciences, ranging from just beginning, to just finishing, were interviewed about their experiences. Specifically, we will reflect on their experiences with select quotes and introduce a mentoring framework that we have been using the last few years to address the needs of this group.
