Kimberley Cousins earned her B.S. in Chemistry at Duke University in 1984, and Ph.D. at the University of Texas at Austin in Organic Chemistry in 1991. She joined the faculty at the California State University, San Bernardino in 1991 where she is currently a Professor in the Department of Chemistry & Biochemistry. After transitioning to computational materials research she has served as a member of the interdisciplinary materials research team since 2011, and is currently the PI of the campus’ CREST II award. During her career she has mentored over 150 students, primarily undergraduate chemistry majors.
