Scientific communication skills are crucial for academic career advancement, particularly for early-career faculty, whose promotion and tenure rely on their ability to publish manuscripts and attain grant funding. This poster highlights communication-related needs and challenges brought forward by early-career faculty in UMass Chan Medical School’s Investigator Career Advancement Program, summarizes interventions developed to meet those needs, quantifies faculty engagement with the program’s Senior Scientific Writer, and reports preliminary outcomes from this multifaceted approach.
