MARK LEE is an associate professor of biology at Spelman College. He is committed to STEM education for underrepresented groups, especially women scientists. A former Faculty Trustee on the Board at Spelman College (2015-2021), Dr. Lee is a PULSE Fellow (Since 2019), a member of the National Academies Roundtable for Systemic Change in Undergraduate STEM Education (2019-2024), and facilitator of Mobile Summer Institutes in association with National Institute on Scientific Teaching (NIST) (since 2016). Outside of his professional science identity, Mark is a visual artist focused on visual storytelling using digital film making. This video storytelling seeks to elevate the Spelman historical record, illuminate the personal and professional stories that remain untold from these women, support community building for the Spelman alumnae and provide inspiration to future STEM students.
