Alexandra is an instructional designer, educator, and communicator focusing on life-science educators and learners at the undergraduate, postbaccalaureate, graduate, and postdoctoral levels. At the Science Communication Lab she builds professional development curriculum and supports the iBiology Courses platform. She has a background in biophysics (PhD from UCSF), and computer science and chemistry (undergraduate degree from University of Wisconsin-Madison). She has over 10 years of career and professional development experience and has a particular interest in building compassionate, authentic, and accessible learning environments.
