Promoting Inclusivity and Equity Through a Multidisciplinary Course-Based Research Experiences Intervention
Description

Course-based research experiences (CRE) have emerged as an inclusive and equitable pedagogical strategy that promote inclusivity and equity in STEM fields. In this conference session, participants will learn about an HHMI-funded large-scale multidisciplinary CRE effort at Lawrence Technological University, a private STEM-focused institution in Metro Detroit. Our “three pillars of CRE” framework and intervention outcomes will be presented followed by a roundtable discussion focused on the implementation of the pillars, challenges faced, and lessons learned.
